Today everyone is dreaming high, soaring high like an eagle for their careers. But why everyone is having the same dream of being an IITian? Is every child born today is meant to be an IItian? Today children in India are given unnecessary burden at a very small age. Are parents responsible for this? Every child’s destiny to be an IITian is set by his very own parents who just fail to realize the real potential in their child.
Most of the children become a part of this rat race running as fast as they can in this race leaving behind their passion as they are blindfolded with the fact that they could have a successful career only with a good package which obviously they could get being an IITian. Their parents fail to realize that their passion for a field is far more important to succeed in that field. At that age even they are too young to take a stand or decision by themselves. They are just dragged into these competitive exams by their parents leaving aside all the childhood dreams they had about their career.
So at that small age these kids start studying hard with a dream of being an IITian. Those who fail to score high even during preparation, feel inferior to other kids. Parents fail to become a helping hand or a good support for their kids; they rather criticize their child for low grades. So kids nowadays feel scared of revealing their failures near their parents, taking all the stress by themselves, which leaves them in depression or in some extreme cases children even take a step forward to end up their lives as they start considering themselves as a loser.
Things will keep on becoming worse with time if on time these blindfolded parents and children don’t realize that satisfaction is far more important than a good package to succeed in life.
